POSTPONED!

We have postponed this retreat and are working to establish new dates, let us know your preferred dates and we will take them into consideration in our planning process. Hope you will join us!

About the Accommodations

We will be staying at the beautiful Truchas Peaks Place with stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Balconies, porches and open airy group spaces make this a wonderful place to explore new connections and bask in the beauty of Northern New Mexico. Conveniently located on the edge of town within easy walking of galleries and shops, hiking trails for all levels are just a short drive away.

Ten rooms accommodate guests. Choose what works best for you – from a private room with private bath to sharing a quad with 3 other friends. Pricing varies according to accommodationschosen. Things to consider... Will you be sharing a room? Would you prefer upstairs or downstairs? Shared bath or private? Marisa and Halli will help you to choose the option best for you. Note that if you are coming on your own but would like a roommate, all effort will be made to find an appropriate match but no guarantee is made and you should be prepared to take a single in that instance.

About Truchas

Straddling a high ridge, on the scenic high road to Taos (1/2way between Sante Fe and Taos), the community began as a Spanish land grant in 1754 and, due to its geography and location, remained a relatively unchanged outpost over the centuries. These very same issues made the community attractive to artists moving to Northern New Mexico for its thriving arts scene, particularly after Robert Redford's The Milagro Beanfield War (1988) was filmed there. Because the community had remained unchanged for so long, it still operates on some of the original Spanish land grant bylaws. For example, cars must share the roads with livestock. The community has close views of the Truchas Peaks (nearly 5,000 feet above the community) and of the EspaƱola Valley.
